Federal Diplomas in Consulting
State-recognised titles represent the highest level of practical relevance and national comparability. We promote this professionalization and ensure that federal diplomas are seamlessly compatible with bso membership.

The Swiss Education System and its Specialized Fields
In the Swiss education system, the tertiary level B (higher vocational education) is particularly relevant for the consulting environment. This level comprises practice-oriented qualifications that are closely linked to labour market requirements. These programs are governed by professional organisations (OdA) and trade associations. Depending on your previous education and intended consulting activity, three different federal qualifications are available:

Federal Diploma of Higher Education (BP): Coordinator in Workplace Mentoring
This qualification is aimed at individuals who wish to support people through learning, change and development processes.
Title: Coordinator in Workplace Mentoring (betriebliche:r Mentor:in)

Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (HFP): Consulting Professionals
The Advanced Federal Diploma (HFP) is designed for experienced professionals specializing in Supervision/Coaching and Organisational Consulting.
Title: Professional Consultant with Advanced Federal Diploma (Beratungsperson mit eidg. Diplom)

Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (HFP): Psychosocial Counseling
This qualification focuses on supporting individuals in demanding life situations and psychosocial contexts.
Title: Psychosocial Counselor with Advanced Federal Diploma (Berater:in im psychosozialen Bereich mit eidg. Diplom)
Compatibility of Qualifications
Holders of an Advanced Federal Diploma (HFP) or a Federal Diploma (BP) meet the essential criteria for admission to the bso professional association. In particular, the Advanced Federal Diploma as a Consulting Professional (Supervisor-Coach / Organizational Consultant) allows for direct access to membership.
